nature is our only boss!

Here at City Kayaking we like to work with nature so we time all our tours with the flow of the tides. We offer high tide tours which will allow you to paddle through the city centre almost at city level and low tide tours to give you a chance to explore the docklands and get a glimpse of Dublin bay.

Who?

Our competent team have over 40 years of experience in delivering water-based activities from kayaks and surfboards to 100-metre Tall Ships and everything in between. Our safety standards are the highest in the country when it comes to kayak rentals. If you have never paddled before, you are in good hands and if you get tired we’ll be happy to give you a little tow from our safety boat.

t

what?

A kayak experience thorough Dublin City centre with our local guides. We will first give a short safety briefing and paddling instructions and off we go to explore the Liffey. The experience takes about 2 hours of which of 90 minutes on the water. Unfortunately our changing rooms and lockers are not open due to Covid, but we hope to re-open them in the near future.

when?

We schedule our rentals according to the tides but PLEASE GET IN TOUCH if you would rather go at a different time or go for a longer rental. We will advise the trip that suits you best by giving you and your party the opportunity to explore the city centre or to go up towards the weir or Dublin bay.

where?

Our Launching base is located just beside the Jeanie Jonhston Tall Ship, between the Samuel Beckett Bridge (the iconic harp shaped bridge) and the Sean O’ Casey pedestrian’s bridge. From here we’ll start paddling towards the heart of the city, going under some of Dublin’s most famous bridges and past well known landmarks.
