Please note we have no changing facilities on site so it’s important you come prepared to paddle.

You are extremely unlikely to fall into the water however your legs might get splashed as you paddle.

Please wear, shorts or leggings on the bottom and dress for the weather on the day from the waist up.

DO NOT WEAR DENIM JEANS, COTTON TRACK SUIT BOTTOMS, CHINOS OR ANY FABRIC THAT HOLDS WATER. 

Our weather policy is that our activity takes place rain or shine. As we operate in a sheltered area we rarely have to cancel our activities. The only weather element that will prevent us from heading out onto the river is wind strength.

In the rare situation where we have to cancel your event we will offer a full refund or the chance to reschedule your session to another time (subject to availability).

• Our activities are suitable for people aged 12 and up. 
• Participants under 16 must have a parent or supervising adult present at all times.

You certainly can bring a camera with you – but only if you are prepared for it to possibly get wet. If you have a waterproof case for your phone we suggest you use it.

Yes, we fit all participants with a life vest before we set off. In addition, we have our safety boat travel alongside the kayaks throughout the journey. The safety boats will assist you if you are having any difficulties while on the water and will even give you a gentle tow if you are feeling tired.

We have double and triple kayaks available, however if you’d rather be on your own on a double just mention it to the guide on the day of the trip and we’ll do our best to accomodate you.

We understand that plans may change, and we are happy to accommodate modifications to your booking up to seven days before your scheduled activity, subject to availability. If you need to reschedule, please feel free to reach out to us via email at info@citykayaking.com. Unfortunately, we are unable to make changes within seven days of the activity, and refunds are not available at any time. In the rare event that City Kayaking must cancel an activity for operational reasons, we will offer affected customers the option to either reschedule (subject to availability) or receive a full refund. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you on the water!
