What do I wear?
One of the most commonly asked questions for us is “What do I wear?”. So here’s a quick guide to what to wear when you’re coming out with us at City Kayaking. We try to run things as dry as possible. That being said, Kayaking is a water sport and you’re going to get a bit wet, so be prepared!
We advise that you bring the following;
– Clothes and footwear for wearing on the kayak (These will get wet!)
– A towel
– Change of clothes for afterwards
– If you have waterproof clothing or a wetsuit you can bring them to use if you wish
We have some splash proof trousers available for use on site should you wish to use them.
Activity takes place rain or shine. Our activities are weather dependent, however it is the wind strength that limits us. We operate in a sheltered area and as a result rarely have to cancel activities. In the rare situation where the seller is forced to cancel the event, ticket-holders will be allowed to reschedule to another time (subject to availability). We do ask that you dress appropriately for the weather.
From 8 to 108 (unless you're expecting)
Participants under 18 must have a parent or supervising adult present to sign for them. Unfortunately, for safety reasons, pregnant women are not permitted to participate in City Kayaking activities.
Any cancellations must be made in writing no less than 7 days before the activity is due to take place. Non attendance will result in the full amount being forfeited. However if you would like to reschedule the trip to a later day we will be able to move you with just 2 days notice.
City Kayaking reserve the right to cancel activities at any time without prior notice when we believe it is necessary for safety reasons (e.g. unsafe weather conditions). In this case, customers will be given the option to reschedule or offered a full refund.
